Why We Guarantee Pet Health

Our goal is to give buyers peace of mind and encourage responsible, ethical selling.
All pets are examined, vaccinated, and certified healthy before they leave their current home — in line with Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB) standards and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act (Cap 360).

 What Sellers Must Provide

When you buy a pet through our platform, you can expect that the seller has:

• A veterinary health certificate issued by a KVB-registered vet within the last 14 days.
• Proof that the pet is free from infectious or contagious diseases.
• Up-to-date vaccinations (Rabies + DHLP for dogs / Rabies + FVRCP for cats) and deworming records.
• Full disclosure of any known health or genetic conditions.
• Ethical breeding or re-homing practices — no puppies or kittens under 8 weeks old and all must be weaned.

Your 48-Hour Vet Check

Once your new pet arrives:

1. Take them for a vet check within 48 hours of pickup or delivery.
2. If the vet finds a serious health issue that existed before the sale, ask for a written report.
3. Submit the report through your account so we can help you resolve it quickly.

Resolution Process: If a Health Concern is Identified

We’ll step in to make it right.
Depending on the vet’s report, you may receive:

• A full refund (including delivery) if the illness existed before sale.
• A replacement pet of similar value (if both parties agree).
• A partial refund if you choose to keep the pet and proceed with treatment.

Our support team may consult an independent KVB-registered vet to confirm findings.
Once verified, we’ll process the agreed solution within 7 days.

Our Pet Health Guarantee Coverage

What Our Guarantee Does Not Cover

• Illness or injury caused by the buyer after handover (accidents, poor diet, exposure, etc.).
• Health issues that were disclosed before purchase.
• Minor stress-related symptoms during travel or transition (temporary diarrhea, tiredness, appetite loss).
• Routine or elective procedures (vaccines, spay/neuter, grooming).
• Diseases contracted after the 48-hour inspection window.
